Oblivion

When a soul departs from its body, it leaves traces behind, lingering wisps of Oblivion that “remember” what they used to be. Some medically-inclined necromancers learn to attune themselves to these motes and draw out their residual “memories”.

  • Cost: Free
  • Dice Pool: Wits + Oblivion, Intelligence + Oblivion
  • System: With a few moments of concentration and a Wits + Oblivion roll (difficulty 3), a vampire with this power can become aware of the location and general condition of all non-sentient corpses within a fifty-foot radius. Alternately, by examining a specific non-sentient corpse and making an Intelligence + Oblivion roll (difficulty 3), they can determine its exact cause and time of death. A vampire's cause of death is almost always "exsanguination", but a necromancer can determine their time of death with a close examination and an Intelligence + Oblivion roll (difficulty equal to two plus their Blood Potency).
