Animalism ••••
The Beast thirsts for domination and owning territory is no different. This power allows the user to claim an area as their own, as all others must recognise the user as its true owner. While it is most often seen used with Havens, any area that a vampire wants to keep an eye on is a perfectly acceptable choice to mark.
- Cost: 2 Rouse Checks
- Dice Pool:
- System: The user marks an area, up to the size of a city block, in their Vitae. While in their territory, the difficulty for tests involving Animalism or Animal Ken are reduced by 1 for the user and increased by 1 for others. Any mortal or animal who lives in the territory for at least one week count as being Blood Bonded to the user, at Bond Strength 2, unless they become or already are Blood Bonded to another vampire.
Additionally, no matter where the user is, they can sense those who enter their territory. They cannot detect those supernaturally hidden unless they also possess a power that lets them find them such as Sense the Unseen. You can also use Animalism powers on those in your territory as if you were standing there yourself, regardless of distance. A vampire can only claim one place as territory at a time. Using this power again causes the previous territory to no longer give any benefit.
- Duration: Until user’s death, or reuse of this power
