Protean •••

  • Amalgam: Dominate 2
  • Prerequisite: Vicissitude (Socratov)

Extending their mastery over flesh, the vampire is now able to inflict their ministrations on the bodies of others as well as the scope and duration. The power is rightly feared, as many of its users have a reputation for inhuman torture, though some employ it to great effect to enhance and adapt their servants and allies.

  • Cost: 1 Rouse Check
  • Dice Pool: Resolve+Protean vs. Stamina+Resolve
  • System: Roll Resolve+Protean vs. Stamina+Resolve of the target, the target may forgo their opposed roll, in such a case the difficulty to roll against becomes 1. The Vampire may now apply their Vicissitude power to others, trading their physical ability score dots for changes. These changes now last indefinitely until undone by another application of this power or until healed as were they aggravated damage. The changes may now stack. So for example: the user may boost the same attribute multiple times and improve the looks merit also multiple times. The user may also apply these changes as negatives, in such cases the target doesn't need to trade dots of physical attributes for the changes.

Masquerade threat: some effects clearly indicate supernatural effects, others may be more subtle.

  • Duration: indefinite

Building on the separation made in Vicissitude (Socratov), this part of the power opens it up for use on others and to expand effects in duration and scope. This power represents the Tzimisce's bending not just their own flesh, but all flesh to their will. This is what makes the Tzimisce such a fearsome clan.
