You are a stranger in a stranger land, and have difficulty communicating.

Levels

Flaw: {)Landed Immigrant You are an immigrant to the chronicle city. Your use of the local languages is heavily accented and difficult to understand. You receive a penalty of one die for all rolls dependent on fluency.
Flaw: {••)New Immigrant You are a recently arrived immigrant. You do not know the languages most commonly used in the chronicle. Your own language is rarely spoken here, though there is likely a small community of fellow immigrants. Any spcs bought using xp (such as Retainers, Allies, etc.) are assumed to know at least one of your two free languages. Indeed, they likely serve as translators.
Flaw: {•••)Outdated Dialect You have recently awakened from a long torpor. The languages you know are woefully outdated and have fallen into disuse, like Anglo-Norman, Aramaic, or Old Church Slavonic. You might be able to find a few scholars who are fluent in your language, but not many.
Flaw: {••••)Unique Tongue You have recently awakened from a long torpor. The languages you know are completely forgotten. There is no one with whom you can converse. Once you have learned a modern language, scholars might be quite keen to learn yours!
